François Fargette (12-01-1943) French composer

François Fargette

François Fargette was the president of the Association of French Problemists and the chief editor of the magazine Thèmes-64 for 8 years, after Camil Seneca. He also held the chess column of the newspaper Le Figaro until 2005.
He composed mostly moremovers. His first problem was a mate in 8 that won 1st Prize in Thèmes-64 1965 and was selected in the FIDE-Album.
He was also an International Judge for Composition.

    It's a neat touch highlighting
    Chess Problemists' birthdays. I did try a number of years ago to collect same, but didn't know
    how to go about it ! Now it's been done for me !
